Fondly known as the second-highest paragliding site in the world, Bir is a small town in Himachal Pradesh flanked by the Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal mountains. Bir Billing paragliding is the most common activity in this quaint town with its many Tibetan monasteries, Bir is also one of the many Tibetan refugee colonies in India. There are also a few waterfalls located close to Bir, and the river flows nearby making for a great spot to cool off in the summers.
